Legal notice (4 p., 1892) reporting the extension of the Concord & Portsmouth Railroad within the City of Manchester, the route of which included land taken from Amoskeag Manufacturing Company and Aretas Blood, including an attempt to determine adequate compensation for the former owners, with a listing on the last page of the names of the railroad directors of the Concord & Portsmouth and its successor the Concord and Montreal Railroad Company; and two notices (1941) recording the removal of personal property from the residences of Joseph Chamberland and Eugene Masse in May 1941, by Aime Bourgault.

Amoskeag was founded in 1825 by Samuel Slater and others, with mills in Manchester, New Hampshire, and corporate headquarters in Boston, Mass. It was incorporated in 1831 and became one of the largest producers of cotton cloth in the world.
